PRACTICE OF FAMILY MEDICINE

How can professionals design the most efficient, therapeutic and high-tech outpatient environment for patients? What are the essential elements of a physician office visit? What can we streamline with technology? How can we re-design the office to promote better communication? These are some of the questions that were asked of NXT by representatives from a hospital-owned physician network. NXT took these questions and partnered with designers from Clemson University’s Architecture + Health program to develop an award-winning new design for family medicine. The goal of the collaborative effort was to establish major design concepts that can be applied in tandem to create successful outpatient facilities that holistically promote health and the practice of family medicine.
